Welcome to the Firearms Safety Course. If you are brand new to firearms or looking to purchase your first firearm, then our Firearms Safety Course is one of the best courses for you. In this course you will gain valuable hands on experience in our firearms handling workshop which teaches you how to safely handle a firearm, load and unload a firearm, and how to clean and properly maintain your weapon. You will also learn the universal firearm safety rules and will be able to practice them in a safe and fun learning environment. This course is packed with knowledge and sets an excellent foundation to becoming a safe and responsible gun owner. Students will also satisfy the CA Department of Justice Firearms Safety Certificate requirement to purchase a firearm legally in California. Students will receive their FSC certificate upon completion of this course via email.

Location: Lopez Canyon Shooting Range 15140 Bailey Rd, Sylmar CA
- Range attire (closed toe shoes, recommend jeans or cargo style pants, full body covering shirts or long sleeve shirts. Jewelry wear at your own risk, hats are also recommended)
- Water bottle highly encouraged
- Sack lunch or snacks are highly encouraged
- Identification CADL, Valid state ID etc.
All firearms, eye & ear protection, ammo and materials will be provided in class. Students may bring their own pistol and ammo but will not receive a credit from the course tuition. If you choose to bring your own firearm and ammo, please follow all laws and regulations when traveling with your gear. The firearm must be in a locked case separate from the magazines and ammo. All ammo must be in a locked case kept separate from being accessible. Instructors will conduct a administrative check on all gear brought into the course and reserve the right to not permit gear if it is deemed unsafe or inoperable.
